Força Aérea Portuguesa - T-6G '1707'

T-6G c/n 182-729 rolled off the production line at Columbus in September 1952 becoming 51-15042 and was delivered on the 17th of that month to Goodfellow AFB when it served until January 1957, when it was shipped to France under MDAP (Mutual Defence Aid Program) and then saw service with various French Air Force units in Algeria (EALA 11/12 at La Reghalia and then 11/661 at Bilma to name 2) on ground attack operations.

Placed into storage it was then transferred to the Portuguese Air Force on the 20th December 1961, becoming FAP1707. Then was shipped to Angola, still being used in the ground attack role. It was stationed at AB.3 Negage and AB.4 Henrique de Carvalho. It returned to BA.7 Aveiro, Portugal before wfu in 1978.

Was then sold to a British company called Euroworld who imported a large batch of ex-Portuguese Air Force T-6s in 1978-79 and it took up the British registration G-BGHU. which it still wears today. 

The aircraft has been owned by Chris Bellhouse since 1986 and is based at Headcorn in Kent wearing the markings of a T-6G serving in Korea with the 64th TCGP, August 1950.
